3 Stars in the Darkness

I wrote this poem about one of my groups of friends, me and 2 others. When we get together we are like our own little unit, solving all our problems as one and supporting each other like a little family. They've both been a saviour to me through the dark times and really shone through when I needed it most. This is for them.

'We are three, United. Contrasting, but equal. Delicate power connects us, Invisible strings tying the knots Of a family we chose. We fly on the wings of our laughter, And dance to the tune of our smiles. Pearls of wisdom and kindness Showered like confetti amongst us. Our collective souls entering the World, Courageous and captivating, It consumes us, Empowered by our unity to embrace all of life. Hearts beat to the same song, 3 spirits alone but as one. Always returning to our roots, To each other, To our home.'
